If an agent needs to access a customer’s database to debug or run some query, he needs to request access from the backend team. There is currently an automation in place to request access with a button from the ControlPanel and FogBugz. Later on, we will need to create a case in Jira with the same specifications.
- Search ControlPanel for the order related to the instance that you want access to.
- (Currently you only need to hit the Request DB Access button to build a case with the required data, but later on, we will need to manually build the details).
- Start a new Jira case for SaaS team, with the following details:
- I need access to the on-demand database for subscriber [Subscription Number]:
FogBugz DB Name: trial[Subscription Number]
FogBugz SQL Server: [Data Center Name in Control Panel]
.\fbodsqlprivs.ps1 grant email@example.com [Data Center Name in Control Panel] [FogBugz DB Name] [[ticket number]]
.\fbodsqlprivs.ps1 revoke firstname.lastname@example.org [Data Center Name in Control Panel] [FogBugz DB Name] [[ticket number]]
For ticket [[ticket number]]
- Submit the Jira ticket.
