What is it?
This article is about the allowed file extension in Manuscript. This is a security measure that prevents manuscript receiving and sending any other extension. This will also allow you to configure your own permitted file extension for Manuscript. Below is the List of the file extensions.
Who will use it?
All the users who use Manuscript and its email service. This is a security responsibility of the administrator to make the email attachment safe.
How is it used?
As Administrator, you can log in with your credential to Manuscript
- Click on Avatar Menu
- Select Site Configuration
- Click on the Advanced tab
- The option “Trusted File Types” is the box to configure allowed file types.
- You have all the rights to reserve any number of file type and also limit to few file type. The decision is as per Administrator and Security rules if any.
Note: (Default are tar,gzip,gz,zip,bzip,doc,xls,ppt,docx,xlsx,xml, cty,pdf,csv,rar,txt,jpg,jpeg,bmp,gif,png)
