Overview
BugMonkey is a FogBugz plug-in that allows you to customize your own FogBugz to suit your needs. The name comes from the popular GreaseMonkey extension for Firefox. You can find a bunch of BugMonkey scripts by visiting the BugMonkey Script Archive post. We also offer a template that makes handling case-page transitions easier. This article provides you information on how to add and manage BugMonkey scripts.
BugMonkey is only supported in FogBugz For Your Server. If you are using FogBugz On Demand or On Premises, similar functionality is available as Customizations. Please refer to this article on Configuring Customizations for FogBugz Accounts.
Process
- Navigate to My Settings > Customizations within FogBugz.
- Click on the New Customization button to create a new script.
- Enter a name and a description for the new customization.
- Fill in the JavaScript and CSS sections.
- To enable the customization for your user, next to Enabled for you, click on the Yes link.
- Click Save.
Supplemental Information
You can also enable scripts that others have shared in your FogBugz instance by clicking on Your Available Customizations.
Site administrators can configure the plug-in by navigating to Admin > Plugins. They can set who can create customizations and who can import customizations from the site.
Site admins can also edit any customization regardless of who created it. They can set whether it is on or off by default for different user types and specific users. They can also set if it is required.
