Overview
Editing each Case Status, Description, Category and many more during an outage is a tedious task. To simplify this process best use is bulk editing. This article describes the Bulk Edit process.
Information
Modifying several cases in FogBugz at one time, or in bulk, can be done by using Bulk Edit. To use Bulk Edit:

Get a list of Cases:

Filter Cases by projects.

Use Quick search to edit cases by entering a comma-separated list of case numbers in the FogBugz search box. For example, put the case numbers 1040,1041 and 1042 in the FogBugz search box, hit enter, and you will immediately get the bulk edit page for those cases:

Select the Checkbox corresponding to each Case which needs editing.

Click one of the Bulk Action buttons such as Reply, Edit, Assign, Resolve, Close, etc. located at the bottom of the page. Using the Bulk Actions, you can:

Bulk reply to customers affected by a recently-fixed issue.

Move several cases to another project at once.

Resolve and close several cases at once.

Assign several cases to someone at once.

Subscribe to several cases at once.

A Case Edit Page comes up, where you make the changes such as:

Modifying the Project
-
Modifying the Area
-
Modifying the Assigned to
-
Modifying the Milestone
-
Modifying the Category
-

Make the changes you need.

You may use placeholders for entering case-specific information or click the Insert case-specific information link above the Save button and click Save, or depending on your action, click Resolve & Close, or Resolve, etc.

If you are Bulk Subscribing (cases subscribed to in bulk), you do not need to click Save.

View a preview of your edit text and the history of cases using left or right arrows to cycle through each case quickly.
Note: You can also use quick search to edit cases by entering a comma-separated list of case numbers in the FogBugz search box.
