You have received emails informing you that you have been unable to make payment with your credit card for your FogBugz subscription renewal. Despite re-entering the card details under your FogBugz Account, you are still receiving failure notifications.
The card is working with other services without issue.
Check with your bank whether it is blocking this particular transaction or the merchant (Braintree) that is used for paying for your FogBugz subscription.
FogBugz will try to automatically charge the card every 24 hours.
Once the bank confirms that the block has been lifted, it might need a few more days to have a successful charge (we experienced previously that the block removal needed a few days of propagation throughout the banking system).
If no successful charge is done after 2-3 days from having the transaction and/or the merchant unblocked, contact our Support Team.
Most Common Failure Reasons
The most common reasons for declines are:
- Incorrect credit card number or expiration date
- Insufficient funds
- The bank declined based on location
- The bank's fraud rules blocked the transaction.
