New features enabled 2018-04-23:
Note: this change is rolling out gradually to customers between 4-23 and 4-26
We’re continually working on making Manuscript robust and valuable for all of our customers. This week, we’re migrating all Manuscript attachment data out of our data center and into Amazon S3. This will provide our customers with more reliable attachment storage and us with a more flexible solution to scale as our customers’ needs change.
What’s changing?
- Attachments and raw email will be stored directly in S3. When possible, this will be performed client-side
- Existing attachments and emails in our datacenter will be slowly migrated to S3 behind the scenes
- There are no changes to existing links to attachments
- Links to attachments and emails will redirect to temporary S3 urls under https://files.manuscript.com. The temporary urls will expire after a few minutes, so please treat the links to your account as canonical. They look like this: https://our.manuscript.com/default.asp?pg=pgDownload&pgType=pgWikiAttachment&ixAttachment=595091&sFileName=On%20a%20Plane.png
